Former Miss South Africa Sasha-Lee Laurel Olivier has secured R1-billion in bursaries for disadvantaged young people in South Africa. Olivier spoke to Rian van Heerden about the bursary fund.
Former Miss South Africa 2019, Sasha-Lee Laurel Olivier, has partnered with The Regenesys Foundation to bring a programme that will make quality education available to all young disadvantaged South African citizens.
Olivier, alongside the Chairman of the Regenesys Group, Dr Marko Saravanja, will facilitate R1-billion in bursaries which will be helping young citizens to pursue their studies and gain an internationally-recognised qualification from the Regenesys Business School.
How does it work?
- Students pay no registration fees, no textbook fees, and no ITC check is required.
- The programme is also open to those who want to pursue a postgraduate qualification - excluding the doctorate programme.
- Students pay R500 per month, capped, until graduation.
- Once students graduate, they'll receive a 60% subsidy towards the premium cost of what it would have been to obtain that particular qualification.
- The outstanding amount would only be settled after the graduate obtains full-time employment.
Olivier spoke to Rian van Heerden about the incredible initiative.
