Gerald Schlemmer wins the Scenic Drive Potjiekos Cook-Off!
On Wednesday, the Scenic Drive team had their first Scenic Drive Potjiekos Cook-Off - and it was won by Gerald Schlemmer!
A few months ago, Rian van Heerden and the team had a Potjiekos Cook-Off that was won by Rian.
The team came up with the idea that listeners should challenge Rian.
Our producer, Morné JK, and technical and marketing teams came together and decided that we should have a Scenic Drive Potjiekos Cook-Off, featuring 12 listeners.
One of the 12 listeners was Gerald Schlemmer.

Schlemmer Googled his recipe a few years ago and then decided to tweak it a little bit. He says people are crazy about the taste and he says the taste is very unique.
He uses a Jimmy sauce - and that is his secret ingredient.
After the judges and head judge, Izelle Hoffman - celebrity chef and food editor, tasted his beef potjie, they knew that he was the ultimate winner.
Schlemmer won a weekend away at the luxurious Leeuwenhof Country Lodge & Garden Spa in the Waterberg mountains in Limpopo. The prize is worth R14,000! He also won a Weber Braai SA prize worth R6,500 and a six-month membership at any Planet Fitness!
