Heroic Mexican "cowboy" successfully stops attempted robbery
Updated | By The Scenic Drive with Rian
A young robbery suspect in Monterrey, Mexico did not expect the eldest customer in the shop to be the one to take him down.
If you plan to rob a convenience store, you should also plan what you will do in case one of the shoppers present decides to fight back.
One young would-be robber in Monterrey, Mexico severely underestimated his potential victims. He walked into the shop with a gun, expecting to scare everyone into submission. Security camera footage shows that his robbery did not go in his favour at all.

The man walks in, announces his plans to rob the place, and then makes one serious mistake: he gets too relaxed and takes his eyes off of the man in front of him.
That elderly man in a cowboy hat immediately takes action and disarms the young man.
Two staff members run out to help the elderly man to restrain the robber, while the cashier can be seen picking up a phone, presumably to call the police.
The "cowboy" has been hailed as a hero.
