A man in Germany was reunited with his car 20 years after he forgot where he parked it. Having initially believed that the car was stolen, the man found out that his car had only been hidden from his view.
Could this have been the work of a cruel trickster?

The parking lot where he had forgotten the Volkswagen Passat is set to be demolished, which is what drew attention to the abandoned vehicle.
The man, who presumably moved on to other cars since the unfortunate 1997 incident, could not take the car home: it was now too dysfunctional to be operated.
People often say that the precious things you misplace will "turn up when you least expect it" - but this man's story is quite an extraordinary case!
