South African Michelin-star chef Jan-Hendrik van der Westhuizen is always looking for new ways to serve up old favourites.
Chef Jan-Hendrik van der Westhuizen constantly manages to astound his followers.
Known for his innovative style - which he brings to international diners at Restaurant Jan in Nice, France night after night - Jan-Hendrik wowed Instagram followers with the revelation of an edible "kaiing" candle.
The video, captioned "a spiritual moment", had people reminiscing about the traditional pork crackling meals they enjoyed as children.

The idea of smearing candle wax onto some bread sounds a little outlandish at first, but according to those who have tried it, the dish is truly a revelation.
