Julian Short: SA bartender who won 8 competitions in 3 years
From a small bartending gig to becoming one of the best in the world. Julian Short shared his story with the Scenic Drive.
It all started with a small bartending gig when Julian Short was on holiday in the Free State.
Short wanted to be a musician, for a long time but it seems that life had another plan for him.

He officially started working at 'Social On Main', in 2014, but he was following a recipe sheet and wanted to follow his own recipes.
Just a year after mixing his own drinks - he started winning competitions.
Short joined the Scenic Drive and surprised the team with some delicious alcohol- and sugar-free cocktails.
"In the beginning, I costed everything and it was a bit pricey, but I needed to do it because I believe in my work.
"To make a cocktail takes time - and I created most of the drinks."
