When Colleen Le was 24 years old, she was madly in love with her boyfriend, who had chronic kidney failure.
Colleen gave him one of her kidneys after finding out she was a match for him through testing, but, seven months later, he cheated on her.

If patients with chronic renal failure do not receive regular dialysis or a kidney transplant, their condition is deadly and incurable.
"Getting my wisdom teeth pulled was perhaps the largest surgery I've ever had before. I didn't know what to anticipate, but I knew it would change his life for the better," she said.
