Legendary actress Nomsa Nene talks life, acting, and being a realtor

Legendary actress Nomsa Nene joined the Scenic Drive to talk about her successful career as an actress, producer, and real estate agent.
Nomsa Nene is one of South Africa's most well-known and celebrated actresses. Nene is not only a renowned actress - but she is also a successful businesswoman.
The beautiful actress gained popularity in the 1990s when she was the host of the TV game show, 'Zama Zama'.
Nene retired from acting and ventured into the real estate business in 2001 after 'Zama Zama' was replaced by a lottery show. At the time she was among the best-selling realtors at Wendy Machanik Properties (WMP).
In 2011, her real estate company, Nomsa Nene Properties, was born.
After creating a name for herself and building her company in the world of real estate, her comeback was well-received by her loyal fans. Nene took the entertainment industry by storm after years away from the limelight. She made her first appearance after 16 years in 'Broken Vows', an e.tv telenovela, where she played the role of 'Lydia'.

In 2020, Nomsa Nene also made her appearance in the iconic film, 'Poppie Nongena'.
Nene played Poppie's mother and also played the lead role of Poppie in the theatre version of this play in the 1980s. The movie is based on a famous Afrikaans novel and tells the story of a Xhosa mother who fights the country's Apartheid pass laws for her family's right to stay in the Cape.
Nene joined the Scenic Drive to share more about her life, career in the entertainment industry, and her being a real estate agent.
"At the moment I do both. I act and I sell property. Acting is my first love and property, my second love. When I leave this earth - I will be satisfied."
