Legendary chef Prue Leith surprises the Scenic Drive!

South African born Prue Leith joined the Scenic Drive in South Africa to celebrate her brand new book - and her 80th birthday!

South African born Prue Leith has made a name for herself internationally as a chef, restaurateur, author and entrepreneur. She founded the Prue Leith Chefs Academy in Centurion, which has trained many of South Africa’s top chefs.
Internationally, she is well known for her role as a judge on The Great British Bake Off television show.
She has published 13 cookbooks, a memoir, Relish and eight novels.
Prue Leith’s career has included her own restaurants, catering and cookery school businesses; she’s been a board director of companies such as British Rail, Halifax, Safeway, Whitbread, Woolworths, and Belmond (ex-Orient Express) Hotels.
Among many awards, Leith won a Michelin Star award.
Prue’s latest cookbook “Vegetarian Kitchen” which she wrote with her niece Peta Leith, release in March 2020. Leith visited the Scenic Drive to launch her new cookbook and to celebrate her 80th birthday on the 18th of February. She also surprised the team with some delicious treats.
