Obviously, this made Van Heerden curious as to whether the family name of the business might be Gay or everyone working at the transport business might be gay.
On Thursday, the Scenic Drive team asked on Facebook if they have heard of businesses with weird names that people always joke about.

Some of the business names that were mentioned were Fork & Pie, Camel Towing, Lokken Fekkel Donuts, and Gay Transport.
The Scenic Drive spoke to these businesses to get the story being the names.
Fork & Pie
Uncle George from Randfontein was known for his pies. After the death of uncle George, Gert Bezuidenhout decided to open a shop selling the legendary pies after he received the recipe from Uncle George. In 2019, a shop was opened by the name of "Fork & Pie".
Camel Towing
The owner of Camel Towing, Martin Jones, saw the place overseas named Camel Towing and decided to name his towing company the same.
Lokken Fekker Donuts
Lokken Fekker Donuts opened in 2020. They donuts are ligth, fluffy and delicious. It's just f#kken lekker!
Gay Transport
In 1965, Gay Transport was born and the company was named after the Italian's wife name, Gayle. In 1980, the business was bought by South Africans. At that time, for her grandfather to be able to buy the business, he had to take out a loan from the bank under the name “Gay Transport”. So for the duration of the loan and its repayment he could not change the name of the business. They then started getting jobs in the meantime, so then they left the name as it is.
