Local supermarket makes hilarious cake decoration blunder
Updated | By The Scenic Drive with Rian
Customers at Checkers Nicolway spotted a strange mistake in the message written on a freshly baked cake.
Writing a personalised message on a cake adds a special touch to any celebration and makes what would have been an ordinary treat into something deliciously memorable.
And, as with any other piece of text that will be made public, you need to be sure that there are no mistakes and very little room for misinterpretation with your message.
But, of course, bakers are not writers, and sometimes the odd typo slips through.
Hey @CheckersSA What did Bokkie do to make you so angry? Do you need a hug? pic.twitter.com/Clij2zuaxX

In a bid to show some patriotism, Checkers Nicolway wrote a message of support for the Springboks ahead of their clash against the All Blacks at Loftus Versfeld this coming weekend. But there's one problem: the extra "i" that crept into their nickname changed the message from one of support for the "Bokke" to one of deep sadness and anger about an argument with "Bokkie".
The unfortunate icing mishap had people scratching their heads.
Checkers reached out to the person who originally posted the image, who thought the mistake was very funny, and asked where this cake had been spotted, commenting that the message had clearly been "#lostinstranslation".
We would like to know where you saw this, kindly provide us with the store name #lostintranslation

Thanks! We also had a good giggle but rest assured, we have no hard feelings towards "Bokkie"😉
