Make My Monday: A night at the Oscars
A listener needs a dress for an event - and the Scenic Drive team decided to help!
We received a message from Shirley Watts who says their year-end function is coming up on the 23rd of November and she’s got nothing to wear. Shirley says the theme is 'A Night At The Oscars' and she literally owns no dresses.
HERE IS HER MESSAGE:
Good day, Rian and team,
"I am in desperate need of some help, we have a year-end function at work, the theme is basically Night at the Oscars, now here's the thing, I have rarely attended year-end function's before as I have always felt embarrassed about my weight and what people might say, but this year I really want to attend our year-end function. The catch is I do not have a dress to wear, I have never had a pretty dress in my life, not even for my matric dance and 21st birthday and every time I have attended anything even close to functions I have always felt underdressed. I will sort out the shoes, makeup, accessories and hair myself but as I live in a small town, trying to find anything that will flatter the fuller figure is a huge challenge. hope that you guys an help me otherwise I don't think I will go as I have literally no pretty clothes to wear.

WHAT SHIRLEY IS GETTING:
Mercia van der Walt is an old friend of Jacaranda FM and she owns House Of Superior Clothing in Pretoria. She literally dresses the stars with many celebrities who have worn her amazing creations.
She joined the Scenic Drive and she has brought 10 dresses with her. Mercia had to pick four dressed and the listeners helped her to pick the perfect dress for the year-end function.
