The film Deon wants to watch, The Recce, tells the story of the South African Border War, a conflict that Deon himself was closely involved in as part of the South African Defence Force's Parachute Battalion (Parabats).
With the help of Nu Metro Menlyn, Rian arranged tickets and snacks for Deon and his wife to watch this incredible moment in South African history come to life on the big screen.
Lead actor Greg Kriek spoke to Rian all the way from Thailand, sharing some special behind-the-scenes moments that Deon should look out for when he watches the film.
