Oscar winner Regina King's son commits suicide
Regina King's son Ian Alexander Jr has died by suicide. He celebrated his 26th birthday on Wednesday.
Over the past weekend, news broke that the multi-award-winning actress, Regina King, has lost her only son, Ian Alexander Jr, after he committed suicide.

"Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian," she told PEOPLE.
"He is such a bright light who cared so deeply about the happiness of others. Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time. Thank you."

Ian also often accompanied his mother on red carpets, including the 2019 Golden Globes.
