On Tuesday evening, Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga announced the reopening of schools from the 1st of June. The Scenic Drive takes a look at how reopenings look around the world.
After months of misery, cabin fever, boredom, and staying indoors, it looks like the world is slowly returning to 'normal.'
On Tuesday, Gauteng Premier David Makhura said the province is set to move into level 3 at the start of June. Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga also announced that schools will reopen from the 1st of June.

South Africans still do not exactly know what the reopening of the country will look like - but the following pictures might give us an idea.
Several pictures were shared of what the reopening of schools, gyms, churches, shops and restaurants look like around the world.
A common thread in all the pictures are the protective measures implemented to make sure everyone is protected from Covid-19.
