Prince Andrew's ex-wife to keep royal title

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, and the ex-wife of Prince Andrew will keep her royal title after it was confirmed that Prince Andrew will face a civil case in the US.
It was reported that Prince Andrew's ex-wife Sarah Ferguson will retain her royal title, Duchess of York, despite her 1996 divorce from him and after he had to return his military titles and royal patronages to the Queen.

Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, faces a civil case over allegations of sexual assault.
A 17-year-old woman has accused the prince of sexually assaulting her.

He has denied the allegations.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement: "With the Queen's approval and agreement, the Duke of York's military affiliations and Royal patronages have been returned to the Queen.
"The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen."
