Proudly SA shoe to be part of official Olympic outfit

The CEO of the shoe brand was not impressed with the national team's look at the 2016 Olympics and offered the shoes to SASCOC to better represent the country.

According to The Guardian, the head of the Olympic movement, Thomas Bach, will visit Japan in May as the nation struggles to contain a surge in COVID-19 cases before the start of the Olympics.
Pfizer, the multinational pharmaceutical corporation, agreed to supply extra vaccine doses to the country to make sure that the Games continue.

In preparation for the big day, South African Olympic and Paralympic athletes will wear Veldskoen shoes at the opening of this year's Olympics.
Veldskoen is a local company that makes a variety of suede and leather shoes with colourful soles.

In 2016, during the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, members of Veldskoen were not impressed with what the national team was wearing.
The shoe company decided to partner with SASCOC (South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee) for the 2021 event.
