Proudly South African: From 'World's Best Female Chef' to 'World's Best Wine List'

Chef Chantel Dartnall was named the 'World's Best Female Chef' at The Best Chef Awards in Warsaw, Poland in 2017 - and now she has another big prize behind her name.
In 2017, Chef Chantel Dartnall won the award for the 'World's Best Female Chef.'
“I didn’t have a clue that I would win. It was just a privilege to have been nominated with people that I have looked up to and admired from afar,” the 40-year-old chef says.

Her restaurant, Mosaic has also earned a 2018 Grand Award from the highly-acclaimed US publication Wine. The awards did not stop there for this foodie and her restaurant.
If you are looking for the best selection of wine, then the Mosaic at The Orient should be top of the list. The proudly South African restaurant based in Pretoria, has been recognised for having the best wine list in the world.It scooped the award at the World’s Best Wine List Awards 2019. The awards were held at the Merchant Taylors’ Hall in London.
