Restaurant being creative during a difficult time

The Scenic Drive chatted to a restaurant and bar owner to get an understanding of how the banning of alcohol and the banning of sitting down at the restaurants has impacted their monthly revenue.
A lunch or dinner date with a colleague, friend or family member will always be a special moment - especially if you can have a drink with them. However, the serving of alcohol at restaurants is still prohibited.
At the end of June, President Cyril Ramaphosa implemented level 4 for at least the next 14 days.

Stricter regulations, such as the ban on all gatherings - including political, religious, and cultural, were implemented.
Schools were closed while restaurants are only able to sell take-aways and food for delivery.
All alcohol sales are forbidden for the next two weeks.

These stricter regulations have had a massive impact on local restaurants. Owners of restaurants had to come up with creative ideas to survive the stricter regulations.
Former Scenic Drive producer, Morné JK, spoke to the Scenic Drive team about how he started to be creative to make the necessary money to pay his employees at his restaurant, bos.
