The Gauteng High Court has outlawed spanking. Will this affect your parenting?
On Thursday, 19 October the Gauteng High Court ruled that parents would no longer be able to use the "reasonable chastisement" defence when justifying why they spank their children.

IOL reports that Judge Raylene Keightley "found the defence that allowed parents to physically discipline their children was inconsistent with the constitution".
