Remember when Rian channelled Paul Simon?

International isicathamiya sensations Ladysmith Black Mambazo visited The Scenic Drive with Rian for an incredible once-in-a-lifetime performance.
When Joseph Shabalala started the group that the world has come to know and love as Ladysmith Black Mambazo in Kwa-Zulu Natal in the early 60s, he could not have imagined just how far their isicathamiya stylings would take them.
Multiple albums and five Grammy awards later, the group's members have changed but their impact on all who hear their music remains the same.
The first black musical act from South Africa to go Gold with their album sales, the acapella supergroup is not showing any signs of slowing down.
When Rian heard that Ladysmith Black Mambazo (including one of the founding members Mdletshe Albert Mazibuko) were the "surprise guests" on the show, he could not believe his ears.
And, as if being in the same room as the living legends were not enough, Rian had the opportunity to sing with Ladysmith Black Mambazo!
Rian held his own, singing along (low as his voice may have been) to Paul Simon's part of the famous song "Diamonds On the Soles of her Shoes" and even managing to stay in-step with the group as they danced.
And any future listening of Graceland will have this special memory attached to it. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
