Rian shares a video from the Black Monday protest

On 30 October people across the country took part in protests against farm murders.
A Scenic Drive listener sent through a video of the procession at one of the Black Monday protests that took place across the country.
The footage shows a procession of cars driving slowly past, all of them hooting in solidarity.

In a report from News24, Police Minister Fikile Mbalula said that he had been in contact with farming communities, and that police are working on rural safety strategies.
Ahead of the protests on Monday, the Minister urged protesters to remain peaceful.

Rian said that the protest is a time for all South Africans to unite against a common cause - that cause being crime. And crime in the country is something that affects each and every citizen, regardless of background.
