A family in Ohio has to rethink the effects of video games after their son was arrested for stealing a car.
A 10-year-old boy in Ohio has been arrested for taking his dad's car and leading police on an 80km-long chase.
The boy, who was not named in a report by The Root, was getting ready for school when he saw a chance to take the car. The chase made local news:
The video shows the boy speeding down the highway with police in hot pursuit. He tries to escape by swerving over onto the other side of the road. Police managed to stop him using road spikes, but the boy would not get out of the car without a fight, as he reportedly spat in one of the officers' faces.

The boy's father believes that his son picked this sort of behaviour up from playing Grand Theft Auto, adding that the boy thinks that this is all a joke.
When the boy was asked why he did it, he said he was "bored".

The Root also reports that the boy was charged with a felony. He spent one night in jail before being released back into his mother's custody.
