Rian van Heerden talks about Van Breda's guilty verdict

Following the guilty verdict in Henri van Breda's trial, Rian van Heerden shared a few thoughts.

On Monday afternoon Henri van Breda was found guilty on all charges of murder, attempted murder and defeating the ends of justice. 

Van Breda was on trial on the murder of his father Martin, mother Teresa, brother Rudi and attempted murder of his sister Marli. 

The family was hacked to death at their luxury home at the De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate outside Stellenbosch in 2015.

Rian briefly shared his opinion on the long-awaited verdict.

Earlier on Monday, Jacaranda FM News obtained an expert opinion from Western Cape High Court Judge Siraj Desai.

Journalist and author Julian Jansen has followed the case since the crime was first discovered. His book, The De Zalze Murders: The Story Behind the Brutal Axe Attack uncovers details about the lives of the family leading up to the fateful day. 

Julian spoke to Rian about what the verdict means to him. Julian also shared details of the initial crime scene from his perspective.
