Robyn Alaina Botha opens up to #ScenicDrive about her transgender journey.

The beautiful Robyn Alaina Botha joined us as a guest yesterday on #ScenicDrive.
Robyn discussed her transgender journey with us.
She would like to be the first recipient of a crowdfunded gender reassignment surgery in South Africa.
According to Robyn, the government only funds three transgender surgeries per year, which means it may be years before she fully transitions.
She said she hasn't had any surgery done yet as she works in retail and does not make enough money to fund her surgery, and there is currently no medical aid in South Africa that pays for the procedure.
With her crowdfunding campaign, she is hoping to raise R200,000, which will cover the whole surgery.
She emphasised the point that she wants to empower other transgender individuals to step out and share their stories with the world, so they too can be free and be their best selves.

She also explained the main reason why she wants to have the surgery.
