Russian reporter forgets that she is on live TV
Updated | By The Scenic Drive with Rian
The beginning of a new work week is tough, but have you ever been so "out of it" that you forgot how to do your own job?
In a country like Russia, where the weather is often brutally cold, it is understandable that people would want to layer up over their uniform. But what would happen if a person became so cosy in their jacket that they completely missed their cue for a live television broadcast?

This is what happened to Maria Ryabova, a reporter for OTV Sakhalin. During a live crossing covering one of the country's public holidays (Victory Day), Maria stands with her jacket on, casually chatting to someone off camera.
When she misses her cue, a producer hastily tells her: "Take off your coat! Throw it on the ground!"
TV journalist Maria Ryabova was waiting to give a broadcast in Russia with the coat wrapped loosely around her to keep warm. But she suddenly finds herself unexpectedly on live television and her producer shouting: ‘Take off your coat. Throw it on the ground.’ pic.twitter.com/Nh2fwLa5aM

After quickly shrugging off her jacket, Maria immediately goes on to put on her most professional smile and continue with the report.
All's well that ends well.
Nevertheless, this is a reminder to stay alert at all times. After all, you don't want to be caught "sleeping on the job"!
