Becoming nobody ⁣ ⁣ This thought has been coming up for me a lot lately . How do we embody nothing-ness? ⁣ ⁣ I was taught from a very young age that success & achievement were very important . ⁣ ⁣ Since retiring I have realized more & more that being somebody is just a part of the ⁣ cosmic play . ⁣ ⁣ Are you a body ?⁣ ⁣ With further inspection you realize you aren’t your body or your thought processes . ⁣ ⁣ Nothing-ness is not a doing from my understanding it’s BEING ⁣ ⁣ dropping all concepts about ourselves , ideas , conditioning , past experiences , beliefs , what we do , who we think we are . ⁣ ⁣ When we put these down , there is nothing - ness just BEING . ⁣ ⁣ This brings great JOY . ⁣ ⁣ nothing-ness for the sage just is … ⁣ ⁣ The infinite , changeless and unfathomable one . ⁣ ⁣ When mind play grabs our attention and we identify with our personal story well then emptiness is lost our attention has shifted and we identify with those thoughts .⁣ ⁣ If we know we are already the unchanging one then there won’t be a “becoming nobody “ just a knowing we already ARE that … From small I to the universal I .⁣ ⁣ The Key would be to stabilize in the nothing-ness as your true place .

For Van Niekerk, life is about reconnecting with the source and true nature of who he is and to allow himself to transcend all the negativity and hardships in this life.

"I walked away from fame and money because there was always a desire to know that there is more to life."

"My soul wanted a change - and I had to take on some spiritual principles."
