We love to keep our guests "well-fed"
Updated | By Nkhensani Manabe
Any guest that walks into the Scenic Drive studios is bound to get up to a bit of mischief with Rian and the team.
This October, in the spirit of Halloween, Rian and the team decided to prepare a few special surprises for 7de Laan actress, Mimi Mahlasela.
Mimi, who plays "Aggie" on the popular soapie, told us that she was afraid of the dark, "because you never know what is there".
This fear of the unknown is exactly what the team tapped into, with Morné hiding a few surprises under silver cloches for Mimi to open one by one.
Underneath each of the lids was something delicious, something scary, something gross, and something alive.
Mimi's reaction to the "scary" surprise was priceless!
Mimi was such a great sport.
It seems that anyone who walks into the studio on Takeaway Wednesday should be prepared to have their pallets challenged.
When singer and songwriter Shekhinah visited the Scenic Drive, she had to try escargot for the first time:
The EFF's Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi also had to participate in a taste test. Luckily for him, the food was not as outlandish as snails or frogs.
After trying the boerewors roll, Dr Ndlozi agreed that it was worth a visit to The Local Butcher.
We at the Scenic Drive love to keep our guests well-fed. After all, how can you expect people to come back and visit you again, if you don't show them any hospitality?
