The Scenic Drive: A three course meal - all with insects?
The Scenic Drive team had a very interesting three-course meal, and it's safe to say its like nothing they have had before.
Earlier this year, a restaurant in Cape Town opened - offering meals all made with insects.
Rian van Heerden was so fascinated by this restaurant and its unique offering that he started to wonder what it would taste like.
Rian didn't want to experience this alone, so he decided to order food that contains insects for the Scenic Drive team, Phillicity Reeken and Joe Mann. The team, however, had no idea that the meals were made with insects.
Menu:
1. Cricket Fritters with spicy ant salt relish and flied rice.
2. Summer salad with mealworms.
3. Chocolate mousse with mixed bugs and mealworm brittle.
