Schalk Bezuidenhout is your new favourite comedian

Born and raised in Kempton Park, Johannesburg, comedian Schalk Bezuidenhout has since taken his act to Europe.

Comedian Schalk Bezuidenhout is known for his wild afro and even wilder choice of jerseys. Schalk had great success with his first one-man show, Second Language and is now taking his new show Jersey Boy across the country.
Earlier this year he took his show to Europe, stopping in London and in Italy.

You may not be aware that, though Schalk was born and bred in an Afrikaans family, he began his comedy career doing jokes in English. And yes, he does have one specific person who makes all his jerseys for him.
Schalk spoke about how tricky it is to find a club that hosts Afrikaans comedy shows and weighed in on the stormy weather that has been affecting Johannesburg residents this week:
