South African hospital celebrates zero COVID-19 patients

The hospital in Cape Town, Medi Clinic, celebrated zero COVID-19 patients.
South Africa has been in a national lockdown for 334 days due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Doctors, nurses and other health care frontline workers have work endless hours to fight the virus in an attempt to try save lives.

On 19 February, a Medi Clinic hospital in Cape Town celebrated a milestone by announcing that they have zero COVID-19 patients in their hospital.
The hospital shared the good news by posting a photo of the board announcing the special moment on social media.
Jacaranda FM News reported that South Africa has recorded fewer than 1 000 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, the lowest since the country entered the second wave in December. South Africa’s recovery rate has also increased to 93,9%.
Meanwhile, the number of healthcare workers vaccinated has increased to 23 059.
