Swedish commuters find the fun side of a train station flood
Updated | By The Scenic Drive with Rian
Heavy rains in the Swedish city of Uppsala put subway commuters in a very unusual situation - and they made the most of it.
When a city whose residents rely on the subway for transport experiences heavy rainfall, everything can screech to a halt.
The people of Uppsala, Sweden know this very well as they recently had to find creative ways to navigate the flooded Uppsala Central Station earlier this week.
The Business Insider reported that the water, which was knee-high in some areas, did not deter commuters from entering the station. Instead, people turned the flooded station into a swimming pool, bringing in lilos and floating through the station on their backs.

The fun at the makeshift water park was cut short when authorities began ushering people out of the water, warning that there was a risk of being electrified by the water.
All the water has since been pumped out of the station and it is now operating as normal.
But the impromptu beach holiday in the city was great while it lasted.
