"There are only 2200 to 2500 free-walking tigers in the world" - Game ranger Connor Thompson

Tiger Canyon is the only wildlife park in Africa for wild cats. Connor and Sizie joined Rian van Heerden to talk about the free environment park.
Tiger Canyon is a conservation project that has established a sanctuary for wild Bengal tigers in the South African heartland. The reserve was founded in 2000 by veteran conservationist and wildlife filmmaker John Varty, today the reserve is home to the only population of wild tigers outside of Asia.
The reserve offers some of the best photographic opportunities of tigers globally.
Visitors are able to view wild tigers in a natural and free environment in the rugged beauty of the Karoo.

Connor Thompson who is a game ranger and Sizie Modise, Tiger Canyon's marketing manager joined the Scenic Drive to share some facts about the reserve.
"Tiger Canyon is in the Free State and it is such a peaceful place," Sizie.
"I am one of three game rangers and we do want we can," Connor.
"We have 17 tigers, and they were all born by us, we just supply them with the land," Connor.
"The tigers hunt and they get no human interaction," Connor.
"And of course, they all have the most beautiful and meaningful names," Sizie.
