Thirty-year-old man loses eviction court battle against parents

Mark and Christina Rotondo won the eviction lawsuit that they filed against their 30-year-old son Michael.
Moving out of your childhood home and starting to take responsibility for your own bills can be daunting.
With a global economy that is constantly in flux, you can be forgiven for thinking that staying at home and avoiding financial responsibility for as long as possible is the smart way to go.
After all, your parents love having you around. Why leave a situation that is working perfectly for everyone involved?
That is the question that Michael Rotondo asked his parents and the court in Camillus, New York. The 30-year-old's parents, Mark and Christina, sued Michael to get him to leave home. Mark and Christina stated that they were tired of supporting Michael while their son continues to make no effort to get a steady job or move into his own apartment. They have been trying to get him to leave for eight years.

Michael countered by saying that he was a "successful businessman" and that he was demanding to be given six months to vacate the premises. The battle has caused a rift in his relationship with his parents, who now hardly speak to him despite living in the same house.
Michael, who chose to represent himself, was ordered out of the Mark and Christina's house by the presiding judge.
Speaking after the judgment, Michael seemed more concerned about getting his hair out of his face than about getting his life together.
Can a parent-child relationship survive a tense lawsuit such as this?
