Thousands trying to rebuild South Africa after devastating looting

Citizens across the country have come together to rebuild parts of South Africa.
The streets of South African came to a standstill after scores of people looted malls and destroyed property for close to a week.

KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng are the hardest hit.
Former president Jacob Zuma’s arrest last week sparked protests by pro-Zuma supporters. The protests have now turned into anarchy.
Jacaranda FM News reported that at least 72 people have died as a result of the ongoing violence and looting.
Citizens across the country have come together to rebuild parts of South Africa. Facebook groups were also created to help and rebuild. One of the groups that were created to assist was ReBuildSA - Volunteers Group.

Rebuild SA is a Facebook group with over 26,000 subscribers. The movement brings together volunteers to assist the businesses affected by ongoing riots and looting.
The majority of the group vowed to help with clean-up operations in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.
Others want to donate food.
Social workers and trained trauma counselors are offering free counseling during the ongoing criminality.
The volunteers are from all over the globe including the UK, Australia, and Namibia – all trying to lend a helping hand.
