A town in Germany is crumbling away by the minute

The cracks are showing on the surface of this German town - and a new coat of paint will not fix the problem.
A town in southwest Germany is slowly falling apart at the seams.

The residents of Staufen are witnessing the cracking and shifting of the buildings in their town little by little, all as a result of a geothermal drilling exercise.
Measures were put in place to slow the bulging of the ground, and the cracks are now only growing at a few millimeters per month.
However, even this supposedly small amount of cracking is too much for some buildings to withstand.
