'A Very Bonang Year' breaks record with 2-million viewers

Over two-million South Africans tuned in for part two of 'A Very Bonang Year'.
Last week, Bonang Matheba broke SABC 1’s viewership records when part one of her two-part reality series, 'A Very Bonang Year', became the most-watched celebrity-driven reality series of all time on their platform, bringing in over 1.8-million viewers.

Ratings for the second episode have been confirmed – and Bonang smashed her own record by bringing in over two-million viewers.
The hashtag, #AVeryBonangYear reached 2.2-billion impressions on social media over the broadcast period.

The series explores Bonang’s game-changing trip to New York in 2019, where she appeared on some high-profile media platforms, including ‘The Breakfast Club’, a behind-the-scenes look at the creation process of ‘Public Figures’ – a film Bonang was involved with, the Wild Aid gala, hosting Miss South Africa, and receiving her E! Entertainment award.
