The media mogul and billionaire Oprah Winfrey celebrated Thanksgiving with some South African cuisine.
America celebrates Thanksgiving 25 November, the fourth Thursday of the month. The festival celebrates the harvest and blessings of the past year.

The American public holiday celebrates everything that they are grateful for.
This year, the TV icon, Oprah Winfrey celebrated Thanksgiving with a South African twist.

On the menu were chakalaka, slow-cooked bobotie, peri-peri chicken, peri-peri shrimp, bunny chow, samp and beans, and yellow rice.
For dessert, Winfrey's chef prepared the iconic malva pudding.
"We had a pre-Thanksgiving feast at our house. South African cuisine to welcome my girls home. And yes, there was malva pudding for dessert," Winfrey wrote on Instagram.
