A week ago, we didn't think that Covid-19 (coronavirus) would become a big issue in South Africa.
On Sunday, President Cyril Ramaphosa declared the coronavirus outbreak in South Africa a national disaster.
Ramaphosa addressed the nation from the Union Buildings in Pretoria on Sunday on a raft of measures approved by cabinet to slow the spread of the virus.
A total of 62 South Africans have tested positive for Covid-19 to date.
On Monday, prof Cheryl Cohen shared some important information with Jacaranda FM.

"Normal soap and water are very effective to wash things and your hands," Cohen said.
A video of a teacher showing her learners why it is important to wash your hands with soap is doing the rounds on social media.
In the video, the learner sticks her finger in the 'virus' water that contains pepper.
The learner washes her finger with soap, puts her finger back in the water, and all the pepper moves away from her finger.
This video shows us the importance of how soap protects us from viruses.
