Updated | By Scenic Drive With Rian
Ever wonder what happens with the toll gate money you pay? Alex van Niekerk, CEO of TRAC joined in on the conversation.
On Monday, Rian van Heerden wondered where toll gate money goes to, and who the concessionaires are.
Roads in South Africa belong to SANRAL. TRAC, Bakwena, Tolcon, run the roads. They collect on a tender contract basis for SANRAL.
The South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd or SANRAL is a South African parastatal responsible for the management, maintenance and development of South Africa's proclaimed National Road network which includes many National and some Provincial and Regional route segments.
