Who will play Whitney Houston in 'The Bodyguard' remake?

It has been announced that a remake of the iconic film 'The Bodyguard' is in the works.
The award-winning singer, Whitney Houston, made her acting debut in the film 'The Bodyguard' nearly three decades ago.

Warner Bros. has announced on Twitter that a remake of the 1992 classic is in the pipeline.
According to Variety, Tony-nominated playwright Matthew López will write the new film.

But who will play the iconic Houston's character?
It was not yet revealed who will play Houston and Kevin Costner's roles.
Social media users suggested that singer Lizzo and her celebrity crush, Chris Evans, should take on the lead roles. Other suggested singer, actress, and performer Jennifer Lopez and her boyfriend Ben Affleck take on the roles.
