Will SDD contestant Dup conquer his fear of bungee jumping?

Scenic Drive Driver contestant, Dup, is the first to embark on a task that is bound to test his fear and ability to go through with a task the Scenic Drive Team comes up with.

Dup was at the studio at 10:00 this morning and was briefed to dress up as the super hero he thinks he is. Dup arrived at the studio dressed as Batman but had no idea what Rian and the team had in store for him.

Dup was driven to SkyBar and Bungee Jump in Fourways, just behind Montecasino. It is a new venue and, luckily for Dup, the 100-meter jump at the Soweto Towers was closed today. He had to do three consecutive jumps at the SkyBar. The jump is 50 meters high.

Dup was very confident when he found out that he was going to have to do three consecutive jumps. He had never bungee jumped before so he was looking forward to it. He was briefed by the SkyBar team, strapped into his harness, and after signing an indemnity form, he got onto the lift. 

But did he have the guts to go through with the jump?

Dup needed a little motivation and assurance from his Jump Master, Mhlangeni. He stood on the edge and then it dawned on him that he was about to free fall for at least 20 meters. He chickened out and had to sit down to recompose himself. Mhlangeni talked to Dup and assured him that he’s “got this”.
