"Women in this country live in constant fear" - Philicity Reeken after the kidnapping of Grade R girl

The violence towards women is taking its toll on South Africans - and Philicity Reeken is fed up!

On Monday morning, a 6-year-old Grade R girl was kidnapped by four men in front of Laerskool Kollegepark in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng, at around 07:40 am.
The kidnappers are demanding R2 million for the young girl.
In Cape Town, the 42-year-old male suspect has been charged with the 19-year-old's rape, murder and for defeating the ends of justice.
Uyinene Mrwetyana was last seen alive two weeks ago at a post office in Claremont where the suspect - accused of allegedly raped and bludgeoned her victim - works.

Philicity Reeken from the Scenic Drive, who is also a mother of two daughters weighed in on the horrible conversation.
"When did the lives of women become less than men? Are the lives of women less than men?", pleaded Reeken.
"Women in this country live in constant fear - and men will never understand that," Reeken said after the horrific news of the kidnapping made headlines on Monday.
