Have you thought about the health of the men in your life? What about good male role models? Celebrate men on International Men's Day today!

Inaugurated in 1992, International Men's Day is set for highlighting men's health issues and acknowledging male role models.
Not intended as a counter to International Women's Day, today is in fact also about the advancement of gender relations and the promotion of equality.

Cardiovascular disease is said to affect one in three adult men, while depression and suicide also rank quite high up the list of the Top 10 health risks affecting men today.

Celebrated in over 70 countries, International Men's Day is followed by Universal Children's Day the next making, effectively making it a 48-hour focus on men and children respectively.
