The Ultimate Mamelodi Sundowns Fan, Barney Simon, catches up with Wayne Arends and Bongani Zungu!

A perk of working in the media? Meeting your favourite sports teams every once-in-a-while, definitely! That was the treat that our Barney got today when the Mamelodi Sundowns stopped by at our Midrand studios!

You know it's a great day when two players from current PSL Champs, the Mamelodi Sundowns swing by at the Jacaranda FM studios in Midrand, despite a crazy schedule!
Our Barney was like a kid in a candy store, especially when Wayne Arends spoke of his early beginnings in the game: “From the school days, during the interval breaks - you were always playing soccer at school. The passion carried off from there and then I joined Santos and now I find myself at Sundowns!”
Ever wondered what being the 'top of the soccer pops' might feel like, here in Mzantsi? Bongani Zungu unpacks it all: “It was a nice feeling, though it was the second time ever since I was at Sundowns, winning a league title. It felt like something new, we were very teary. It was special.”
