Cassy Clarke speaks out about abuse

This walk for a cause attracts over 5,000 participants each year and marks the start of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children.  The aim of the walk is to get Gauteng to take a firm and unified stand against women and child abuse.

Jacaranda FM's Cassy Clarke is an ambassador for this year's 1st for Women Sisters With Blisters protest walk, and she shared her story with TCB on Monday.

Like many women in South Africa who find themselves in abusive relationships, Cassy says that she is not a victim of what happened to her, but rather a survivor. She also believes that all women who are being abused should realise that they are not victims of their circumstances, but rather survivors who can get out of these toxic relationships.
