Making Matriculants' Cinderella and Prince Charming moments come true with the help of Niko and Arnold from "The Boys", and Mercia van der Walt from House of Superior Clothing.
Recipient:
Karabo Lekobane from Munsieville, Krugersdorp
Angel:
Niko and Arnold from "The Boys"
Sponsoring:
The Boys are proudly South African designers based in Pretoria and have been in the fashion, styling and beauty industry for 20 years, specialising in Wedding and Evening Couture. They want Karabo to look and feel like a princess on her big day and have invited her to visit their studio in Pretoria for a free consultation and figure analysis. They will then shop with Karabo for the perfect fabric, then design and make her dream dress to the value of R20,000!
Background:
Karabo stays in a two roomed house in Munsieville township outside Krugersdorp. She lives in the house with her mom and four siblings – as well as her aunt, uncle and their five children. She is a hard working young lady. Her performance at school is very impressive – especially when you think of her situation. She was awarded the academic achiever certificate for the first six months of 2015. She studies very hard because she wants to become a doctor. Karabo braves through any tribulations and has a positive outlook on life. I know her from our church. Karabo sings in the choir and she is in the leadership of the youth group (Redeemed youth). Karabo would never complain, but I know she would love to go to her schools' matric farewell and I know that her family cannot afford a new dress. Could you please help to show this hardworking young lady, that her efforts are noticed and that she is very special indeed, by helping us find a dress for her.
Regards,
Ivy

The House of Superior Clothing in Lynwood is a treasure trove of fabulous dresses for all occasions. This time of year, Merica and her team focus on matric farewell dresses and they source loads of new dresses weekly. Marcia has invited Belinda* and her mom to visit the "Purple House" in Lynwood Street to choose the perfect dress from her latest stock.
Background:
When she was in Grade 11, Belinda* told her mom the dreadful secret she'd been keeping for four year: her mom's second husband had been molesting her for four years. Her mom confronted her husband, resulting in their lives being threatened. Mom and daughter fled from their home and province where they lived, to Gauteng, looking to start a new life. The sudden upheaval and uprooting of their lives meant that Belinda* had to repeat her grade. After much tribulation, healing and forgiving, she is now in the final months of matric - and like any other girl - dreaming of a princess-like matric farewell. Her mom wants nothing less for her - but the events of the past year or so have left her barley able to financially make ends meet. She's asked Good Morning Angels to help find her brave, hardworking and determined daughter's fairy god mother for the ball ...
