Kara Van Der Merwe: Put Your Foot Down
Kara Van Der Merwe (14 years of age) was inspired to take action against child sexual abuse after playing the role of a young victim of sexual abuse in the movie, Dis ek, Anna. Kara started the 'Put Your Foot Down' campaign in July 2015.
The 'Put Your Foot Down' campaign is a very special social media campaign to encourage young and old to take a stand against sexual abuse and violence against children by taking photo's of their feet, posting it on social media and making a donation to the campaign.
Kara not only wants create awareness and support through this campaign, but she also wants to be the voice for children who cannot speak for themselves.
