Aaaaaaaaah Movember, the time of year where men get excited about proudly displaying a furry upper lip for a cause. Simply put, Movember is the annual moustache growing challenge that takes place in November, and aims to act as a reminder for men everywhere to stop and reflect on their health and their lifestyles
How this challenge works is that men need to grow a moustache within a month after starting cleanshaven on November 1 in a bid to raise funds and awareness of men’s health issues such as prostate and testicular cancer.
The theme for the South African leg of the international campaign is “Made in Movember”. Country manager of Movember South Africa, Garron Gsell, said: “It is inspired by the global trend of proudly supporting locally grown and manufactured products. It encourages the authenticity of putting in the time and effort to create something exceptional and worthwhile – like growing an awesome mo in Movember.”
This morning The Complimentary Breakfast spoke to Garron Gsell about what is expected of participants and got some great moustache tips from Daniel Rosenthal.
