Should your weight have an affect on you being hired for a job?
Updated | By Lee-Roy Wright
The Complimentary Breakfast shared a story regarding weight and how it affects being hired by an employer in their 5 Calls segment this morning. Does your weight affect your chance of landing the job?
Rian of The Complimentary Breakfast shared the story of Elon Mogale, who has come out saying that his weight has prevented him from being hired. City Press shared the story where Mogale refers to his weight being an issue when it comes to finding a job.
Mogale has to date sent through more than 100 job applications, been on 13 interviews, yet still unsuccessful. When speaking to City Press, Mogale commented saying "Prospective employers look at me once and giggle as soon as I walk into the room. They probably don’t listen to whatever I say after that."
Rian posed the question this morning and many shared their thoughts on the issue.
